The SPAR South Africa Grand Prix 2025 series commences with the Cape Town race. It features five races where elite runners earn points and compete for monetary prizes. The SPAR South Africa Grand Prix 2025 series has been officially announced, featuring the Cape Town race as the inaugural event in a five-race schedule. This series highlights Africa’s elite runners competing for points, with monetary awards for various rankings and an overall prize for junior participants determined by the results from three races.

This year, Hyundai Automotive South Africa has been appointed as the national vehicle sponsor for the SPAR Grand Prix series. Gideon Jansen van Rensburg, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa, stated that their commitment to women empowerment aligns with the series’ goals, making it an ideal partnership.

In 2024, Glenrose Xaba became the first South African to secure the SPAR Grand Prix title since its international opening in 2019. She aims to join an elite group of athletes by winning the title three times.
