Travis Scott to Bring Circus Maximus Tour to Qatar in May

Travis Scott will perform at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Doha, Qatar, on May 16 as part of his Circus Maximus tour. This event follows his performances in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh, contributing to a record gross of over $200 million. The tour features a dramatic visual theme and popular tracks from his album Utopia, coinciding with the inaugural 1001 Festival in Riyadh in April.

US rapper Travis Scott is scheduled to bring his highly anticipated Circus Maximus tour to Qatar, performing at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Doha on May 16. This event marks his third performance in the Gulf region, following appearances in Abu Dhabi in 2016 and 2023, as well as three concerts in Riyadh in 2023.

Launched in 2023 in support of his album Utopia, the Circus Maximus tour is projected to be one of the highest-grossing solo rap tours, having grossed over $200 million and selling approximately 1.6 million tickets to date. The tour features a visually stunning setup reminiscent of a haunted theme park, complete with dystopian elements and pyrotechnics.

The concert setlist includes popular tracks from Utopia, such as Hyaena, Sirens, and Fe!n, as well as fan favorites like Sicko Mode and Butterfly Effect. After reviewing his 2023 performance at the Soundstorm festival in Riyadh, The National noted, “Scott’s punk-like energy and the sheer drama of his tracks still make him one of the most dramatic and controversial artists on stage.”

Scott’s debut performance in Qatar is part of a series of first-time shows across various countries including India, South Korea, and South Africa in October, as well as China and Japan in November. Furthermore, his return to the Gulf coincides with the inaugural 1001 Festival taking place in Riyadh on April 24 and 25, with about 70 artists performing across five stages, inspired by stories from One Thousand and One Nights.

In conclusion, Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus tour signifies a remarkable event for both fans and the Gulf region, showcasing his musical journey and prominence in the industry. With an impressive gross and an intriguing visual theme, the tour is set to captivate audiences, while also aligning with the launch of the 1001 Festival in Riyadh.
