On Sunday, a minibus driver and several passengers were apprehended after a Glock 9mm pistol was discovered within the vehicle. The firearm was located behind the driver’s seat in a bag, which the driver, Adrian Dailey, claimed did not belong to him. An extensive list of passengers was identified, including security personnel, supervisors, housewives, and a consultant, hailing from various regions including Timehri, Georgetown, and East Bank Demerara.
Upon being questioned, all individuals, including two 17-year-old girls, denied ownership of the bag containing the firearm and expressed no awareness of its presence. Consequently, they were informed of their alleged legal infractions, arrested, and transported to the Timehri Police Station for further investigation. Dailey, along with the minibus occupants, remains in custody pending the outcome of inquiries.
