Increase in Fuel Prices Effective March 25, 2025

Fuel prices for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene will rise on March 25, 2025, by P1.10 and P0.40 respectively, after three weeks of rollbacks. Multiple firms including Chevron and Shell announced the changes due to market factors. Cleanfuel will increase prices later on the same day, while other companies have yet to respond.

Motorists will experience an increase in fuel prices this week, as various firms have announced hikes following three consecutive weeks of price reductions. Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Seaoil Philippines Corp., and Shell Pilipinas Corp. have each decided to raise the price of gasoline by P1.10 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will see an increase of P0.40 each.

Cleanfuel will implement the same adjustments for gasoline and diesel, although it does not sell kerosene. This price change will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, for the aforementioned companies, while Cleanfuel will adjust its prices starting at 4:01 p.m. later that day.

As of now, other fuel companies have not issued announcements regarding price changes for the week. The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) had previously indicated potential upward adjustments this week, attributing the increase to rising tensions in the Middle East, boosted consumption due to fiscal stimulus measures in Beijing, and a reduction in U.S. fuel inventories. Last week, fuel firms rolled back diesel prices by P0.20 and kerosene by P0.40, while maintaining gasoline prices unchanged.
