Two men, Robert Cudjoe and Isaac Aidoo, were sentenced to three months in prison for stealing faulty car parts valued at GH¢17,500. The theft occurred at an auto mechanic’s workshop, and one accomplice remains at large. Police investigations led to the apprehension and confession of those involved.
In a recent ruling by the Tarkwa District Court One, two individuals, Robert Cudjoe, known as “Nose mask,” and Isaac Aidoo, referred to as “Yaw talk,” have been sentenced to three months in prison with hard labor for conspiracy and theft. The offense involved the illicit acquisition of faulty automobile parts valued at GH¢17,500 from a complaint lodged by Christopher Dorglo, an auto mechanic.
On October 25, 2024, the defendants, along with an accomplice currently on the run named Emma, executed a plan to steal various vehicle components stored in the complainant’s workshop. These parts included gearboxes from a Nissan Sentra, Ford Escape, a Hyundai SantaFe, and other items such as a damaged car battery and air conditioning tank.
Following the theft, Aidoo enlisted the help of a commercial tricycle rider named Paul Balungo to transport the stolen goods. However, their plan was thwarted when a witness, Eric Wilson, encountered them and raised suspicion. While Aidoo and Emma managed to flee, Cudjoe, along with Balungo, was detained and handed over to law enforcement.
In subsequent police investigations, Aidoo was apprehended and confessed to the crime, implicating Cudjoe and Emma in the process. Law enforcement continues to pursue Emma to ensure she faces justice for her role in this conspiracy.
This case highlights the judicial system’s commitment to addressing theft and conspiracy, as demonstrated by the swift action of law enforcement and the subsequent sentencing of the offenders. The ongoing search for Emma signifies the determination to hold all involved parties accountable for their actions, ensuring justice is served entirely.
