On Tuesday, Eldoret high court judge Robert Wananda mandated the police to apprehend Rotich, with a court date scheduled for April 8. He had been released on bail in November 2023 after two years in custody, conditional on remaining within Uasin Gishu County, where Eldoret is located. Prosecutor Okaka proposed that Rotich should forfeit his bail bond of 400,000 shillings (approximately $3,000).
