Interpol’s yellow notice states that she was last seen in Punta Cana on March 6.
Sudiksha Konanki is described as 1.6 meters tall with three piercings on her right ear, black hair, and brown eyes. She was vacationing with five female classmates at a resort in Punta Cana. According to surveillance footage, the group was seen heading towards the beach; while the others returned, she was last seen with Joshua Riibe, a senior from St Cloud State University, who is now regarded as a person of interest in her case.
Joshua Riibe has acknowledged that they were together on the night of her disappearance. He described how they were in waist-deep water when a strong wave swept them away. Riibe, a trained lifeguard, claimed to have tried to keep Ms. Konanki safe but struggled to stay afloat. He recalled setting her in front of him once they reached shallower waters and did not see her again after he became incapacitated from swallowing seawater.
