The program will include 33 drill holes totaling 2,500 meters primarily focused on high-priority targets identified from previous exploration activities. Connected Minerals (ASX:CML) has enlisted the services of Namibian contractor Hammerstein Drilling to initiate a maiden reverse circulation reconnaissance drilling program at its Etango North-East and Swakopmund projects in Namibia. This program is set to commence in April, comprising a total of 33 holes over 2,500 meters, with the majority, 2,000 meters, focused on Etango North-East and the remaining 450 meters at Swakopmund.
The drilling will initially target high-priority areas at Etango North-East. These targets were identified following a rock chip sampling program conducted in December 2024. After completing the drilling at Etango, operations will transition to Swakopmund, where the focus will shift to targets revealed by a recent horizontal-loop electromagnetic survey.
CEO Warrick Clent remarked that the collaboration with Hammerstein Drilling marks a significant progression for Connected Minerals as it prepares to commence drilling operations in April. “The commencement of drilling will be a major milestone for Connected Minerals and will build on the encouraging targets we have identified at both projects during our field work to date,” stated Clent.
He expressed anticipation for the drilling’s initiation in April, which follows the company’s relisting just four months prior, and expects a consistent flow of updates in the upcoming months. Hammerstein Drilling, established in Swakopmund, has considerable expertise in conducting reverse circulation drilling projects for mining exploration within Namibia, Angola, and other international locations.
