We commenced our meal with two delightful appetizers. The first, subudana pakore, consisted of fried fritters made from tapioca, potatoes, cumin, and fresh herbs. The second, singhara aloo tikki, featured water chestnut flour fried fritters accompanied by potatoes, cilantro, green chilies, and other spices, all elegantly plated and served with a selection of sweet and creamy dipping sauces.

For our main courses, I opted for chicken methi mali while my sister chose the vegetarian variation, methi matter mali, which incorporated tofu and green beans. Both curries were richly flavorful, enhanced by fenugreek and ginger garnishes. We ordered our dishes with a medium spice level, complemented by generous servings of naan and rice to savor the delicious sauces.

For dessert, I selected the carrot cake halwa, a delightful fusion of fresh carrots roasted with butter and mixed with nuts and spices. Its crumbly yet moist texture offered a unique take on carrot cake while feeling indulgently healthy. My sister’s choice, paan ice cream, surprised us with its refreshing betel leaf flavor, accompanied by rose petal jam and coconut flakes, creating a delightful tasting experience.
