Proforce has secured orders for the PF Hulk protected vehicle from Mali and Nigeria at IDEX 2025. The PF Hulk is a licensed copy of the Russian AMN-590951 ‘Spartak’ and features enhanced safety and performance capabilities. Additionally, Proforce is set to launch the upgraded PF Viper, based on the Otokar Cobra model.

Proforce of Nigeria has announced that both Mali and Nigeria have placed orders for the PF Hulk protected vehicles at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) 2025, which is taking place in Abu Dhabi from February 17 to 21. This vehicle, licensed and produced in Nigeria, is derived from the Russian AMN-590951 ‘Spartak’, a 4×4 model designed to transport troops safely.

The PF Hulk boasts a gross weight of 14.5 tonnes and features a seating arrangement of 2+8 in a five-door configuration. Powering the vehicle is a 6.65-liter YaMZ-536 six-cylinder engine, which delivers 360 hp. The vehicle’s mine protection meets STANAG 4569 levels 2a and 2b, ensuring operational safety in hostile environments.

Additionally, Proforce is developing an upgrade for the Otokar Cobra vehicle, named the PF Viper. This version enhances the original design by providing an additional pair of doors for improved accessibility and addresses engine cooling to suit the African climate. The PF Viper weighs approximately seven tonnes and utilizes a 3-liter V6 Hyundai S2D6EB engine, producing 250 hp.

Proforce’s contracts with Mali and Nigeria underscore the increasing reliance on domestic military production capabilities. The PF Hulk and the upcoming PF Viper represent significant advancements in protected mobility solutions for African nations. As these vehicles are locally produced, they reflect a commitment to enhancing national defense infrastructures while ensuring operational readiness in challenging environments.
