Lawal, a professional footballer with Vipers Sports Club and a final-year student at Cavendish University, reportedly fell from a balcony at the Voicemall Shopping Arcade on February 24, 2025. According to preliminary accounts from a friend, Omary Naima, Lawal was preparing tea in her room before the incident occurred around 8:00 am.
After the fall, Lawal was quickly transported to Entebbe Referral Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Personal items belonging to Lawal, which included two smartphones, an open pair of shoes, headsets, a training kit, and chargers, were found in his backpack.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities reviewing CCTV footage and conducting interviews to clarify the events that led to Lawal’s tragic passing.
